America's Obama obsession

Historian Victor Davis Hanson writes in National Review:
For 30 months the nation has been in the grip of a certain Obama obsession, immune to countervailing facts, unwilling to face reality, and loath to break the spell. But like all trances, the fit is passing, and we the patient are beginning to appreciate how the stupor came upon us, why it lifted, and what its consequences have been.

We do this with everyone in our lives so why should President Obama be any different? We love them until we don't so out they go with the bath water because they are not living up to OUR expectations. Yes, I realize that Obama is in a different league and being held more accountable than others in our life, however, the reality to be faced is considering the "rubble" that is now his, took longer to be created than the time we are giving him to clean it up.
